Coriah Keatings Profile

Age: 15

Location: Mullengandra (30 minutes from albury) mountain creek road NSW, we live on a small 300 acres farm.

Discipline: I would love a horse for every discipline if it was possible, but my real passion is showjumping and eventing.  I love jumping and trying out technical courses, i also really enjoy showriding as you get to make you and your pony look pretty and get dressed up in nice clothes!

On Sugargum Vivienne i have had some major results in state pony club and the show ring such as:

National ridden partbred Conemarra of the year 2 years in the running (2013-2014)

Champion novice show hunter pony Bathurst Royal (2014)

Welsh national ridden partbred Showhunter of the Year (2014)

9th and 10th at State pony club dressage championships (2014)

6th at State Eventing and closest to optimum time crosscountry (2014)

Coringa Mardi Gra’s (Archie) Exclusion Zone (eddy) Sugargum Vivienne (viv) Sugargum Genie (genie) Coringa Althea (squiggle)

Funny habits my horses have…

Eddy loves to pull all sorts of funny and ugly faces, he loves to poke his toungue out for photos! Vivienne always insists to be ridden or in work and if she isnt she’ll break out of her paddock and come back down to the house to visit us and hope to be ridden.

Archie is the baby of the bunch and he always wants to be jumping but when I ask him to do dressage he likes to pretend that theres invisible 1m jumps… its quite funny to watch and experience.

Riding goals:

I want to get Archie successfully competing novice dressage, 90cm prelim eventing and showjumping rounds up to 1.05m.

I would like to start basic jumping with Eddy and doing lots of hunter classes and rider classes with him.

I’ve also started my first project of breaking the small welsh cob in which will be an awesome learning experience.

Other activities:

I love sport! Last year at my school i was awarded junior sports women of the year from years 7-9. Ive been to state for swimming, running cross-country and volleyball, im also very takented at soccer, Afl, and league tag.

I enjoy running to keep fit for horse riding, but horses is always my number 1 favourite!

Why i enjoy being apart of the Showgirl Rosettes team:

I am excited about the friendship I will make with the staff and other sponsored riders. I’m keen to show off their  amazing range of clothes, and to have their help with my equestrian journey.  I am very grateful to have been chosen to be apart of this awesome team 🙂
